Trackrock Hammer-in

Hey folks, the Trackrock Hammer-in is coming up fast. Come join us at the Trackrock Campgrounds in Blairsville, GA. It's the weekend of Sept. 24th.
Bring your favorite hammer and tongs.
I need to start getting up a head count for my buddy Anthony the BBQ maniac, so speak up.

If for no other reason, come see my smiling face

Great place and some of the finest people on earth at this place folks.

The hospitality of the Alexander family ( Trackrock owners) is beyond belief. They have given us full run of the place.

Come see us , you will love this place as we have come to love it.

As always I read this and have a very strong urge to go. I have heard nothing but good about this event. I am trying to work it so I can go to the one in May. I wish I lived closer ... and to those of you that do I would strongly recommend going!!

OK........ Here is what I am bringing........... Before viewing "LIVE", you must have a pair of "Mr. Magoo" glasses that are slightly dirty and smeared.

Robert those are looking pretty sweet! You have some beautiful handle material on those babies!! The one in the middle is particularly striking. What is it?

Thanks David. The Handle Materials are, from LEFT to RIGHT:

1. "Alabama Chrome" (Duct Tape)
2. Stabilized and Dyed Box Elder Burl from WSSI
3. Old "Natural" Canvas Micarta (probably about 20-25 years old and been outside all that time)
4. Stabilized Redwood Burl (from Pop's Knife Supply)
5. Maroon Linen Micarta
6. Stabilized Redwood Burl (from Pop's Knife Supply)

Thanks Robert! I have a customer who just ordered a redwood handle. I have never used that before but now I can't wait! That is beautiful!

David,
They feel pretty good in you hand as well. Robert brought some pretty nice work to the HI. He kind of promised to get a little dirty at the next one. He's OK for an old poot (like me).
