Blade type/hardness listing

Where can I find a listing of blade hardness by type of metal? Done some "searches" on the net, but I've come up empty handed.....

Anyone got a link for me????
Thanks

Thumbs up blade hardness

That is pretty much an impossible list to find as each knife company or makers test the hardness of their own knives. Some use the Rockwell tester which is a standard in the machining industry but also some just go by color of the steel during the hardness process and some use what is called the brass rod test which is pressing the hardened blade edge against a brass rod and pushing the blade into the rod to see if it deforms the edge. I don't know of anyone who has compiled a list of blade hardnesses just by the steel that is being used.

Did you have any spacific knife in mind that you wanted the hardness listed?

Hardness can be very different, you can choose it:f.i. a 440C for a longer dagger 54 RC and a short skinner 60RC.If you temper the steel the temperature and time of this process will make the difference .The German Puma knives are 56-58 RC
