I need help on ways to put on a shield or escutcheon on a mammoth handle. are there any threads on how-to ? is there any information anywhere? I have a puser, but not comfortable with it yet. i have heard of ways to do it with a mill.

Hi,
Uncle Al Lawrence has an escutcheon plate jig and such on his web site. Fisk did a review of it and seemed to like it...Ken __________________ Ken Simmons ABANA, ABS, GCKG, NCCKG Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on the menu. Liberty is a well-armed sheep. |

I've seen pictures of the old Sheffield makers using what they call a "shielding parser" to cut into the scales but I have no idea what it looks like at the business end .... anyone have any old Sheffield photographs to hand?
