lucky day found the key too

Hi All
I was searching for a freezer Key and found a old Remington large pocket knife has 1128 stamped on the blade and a silver bullet embedded in what looks like stag handle slabs. Do any of you know where I can research this or know anything about it?

well it did say 1123 till remington stamped over it . wich they did on the origonals. just got a e mail back from a collector....the reproducton has the date on it ,i think 1983 ,this one don't and iffin you look at it one angle the 8 looks like a three the other angle it looks like 3 turned into a 8. wanna buy it? laughin......ACk went to the link 455.00 for a replica? wonder what the real thang b worth???

I don't know anything about Remington. How can you tell the ebay one is a copy. Is the one you have the same pattern as it? Apraisal by Bernard Levine would be a sure way to find out the value.

i know nuthin either....i am getting info from a collecter that just bought a origonal baby bullet on ebay. going by what he says.. i was wrong about the 1128 mine is a 1123 the 1128 has wood handles....mine has bone the origonals where made in the late 1920 to 1930s. because they where so popular Remington brought them back at one point as replicas the replicas have the year stamped on them the origonals do not plus the origonals where bought as users 70 some years ago didn't come in no fancy clam case plus they look like thay are 70 yrs old you know pitted blades cracks in da bone stuff like dat. no stainless steel. oh yeah also went to A G Russel site he b sellin a replica this years model I think. But he states the replicas go for hundreds the real deal in mint condition goes for thousands.......mine is not mint has a rather large nick in one blade..and blades b pitted

nope they call them replicas...and remington made 1128 this year with 2004

Yeah, according to Byron Rogers...Thts da appraiser. He says one it mint is worth $1,500. says mine is in very good to excellent condition. I have it on Ebay has a day and sumthin to go its at $255.00 last I looked. Only thingy is.......the more I handle it the more I like it. I have a remington model 10 12gage I use for deer huntin. Its dead nuts at 50 yards (got a nine point this last season..Just braggin i lil .) Any ways dat Model ten is #### near 100 yrs old. This knife is razor sharp ( cut myself on it ) starting to think it might go good with dat gun. The man that owned it before me ( my ex father in law) was a barber way back when and I noticed he sharpened the knife by changing the angle to a less angle on one side and the other side there is barely a edge, like a razor or a chisel. Any of you guys sharpin a knife like that? well time for bed....U all b safe
