im back and need a hand
hey all, it been a few years since i was here and or made a knife for that matter. i just made a knife out of o1 for when the family goes camping. i came to eds place cause he gave me the most help the last time i was here, and wanted to see if anyone did o1 heat treating. i know its "easy" to do but to be honest i dont have alot of tools (or money ) and i really want this to be done right, i was thinking of using a2 and sending it out but i really like the little knife i just made and would like to use that, any help is greaty appreciated

Most heat treat outfit can do it for you, but since you mentioned the money issues, that's a big roadblock....most heat treaters have a minimum.....each is a little different, but it's often economically unfeasable to just have one blade heat treated.

I used to use texas supplies but they only do air quench. They do single blades just not o1 any sugestion on who to look up
