A Pair of Fixed Blades
With specialization in folders, I rarely have the time, or urge, to make more that one or two fixed blades per year. At a record setting pace for the first quarter, here's two completed for the upcoming Blade show, and definitely not likely to be duplicated. Curiously, their stark simplicity took as much, or more time, than most of my folders.
One is entirely constructed of satin finished D2, with the blade and handle shapes being mirror images of each other - at least two dimensionally.
The palm dagger is also D2 with Norris satinless damascus and pearl scales - the Norris damascus is secured by screwing one side into the other, while the pearl is retained by 14kt gold pins.
Photo credit for excellent results is again earned by Rich Slaughter who captured these knives superbly!
Hope that you enjoy these photos, and thanks for looking.

Thanks for your great comments. If they find appreciative new homes soon, they may motivate me to design and make more than the occasional, rare fixed blade?

The thumbs up and kudos on these two are deserved Kelly. Thank you also for your kind words about my picture, I sure had fun doing these for you. I see a push dagger similar to this one in my future.
I got your new maganetic slip joint today, and I like it a lot. Good luck getting it to the mass market, and I hope it does well for you.. Regards, Rich
