Bowie with exhibition select grade 1 Ironwood

This is the prettiest piece of Ironwood I've ever used, I still have 2 more pieces and guarantee I will be getting more. The Bowie OAL 14" w/ 9" blade , 52100, hand rubbed satin finish. The guard ,spacer, and pommel are made from reverse twist damascus.
I think this wood is so cool, I just had to show it. As pretty as it is, my camera only captured some of its beauty

Really nice wood. The knife looks like a heavy chopper, have you made the sheath already? I hapen to like your sheaths as much as your knives...
That means.. a lot hehehe...

Nice Bill. That wood swirls like some of the mesquite I have. Great knife.

Bill I must confess that I've become a real fan of your bowies. Not only are the knives beautiful, but they exhibit your own distinctive style - not an easy combination to pull of by any stretch. My favorite feature on this knife is the way the large swirling pattern of the damascus fittings complements the large swirling grain of the irnwood. Sweet.!

Thanks again everyone for the great compliments, I really do appreciate them.

BrB, I've been working on the sheath and finally got it finished today, its 8-9oz leather on the back with 3 layers of 4-5 oz stacked on the front with snake skin inlay. Sorry for the poor picture, these darn sheaths for some reason are harder to get a decent photo of then the knives.

Thanks again,

Bill

It is a great sheath as usual Bill.

I really like the way your knives and sheaths blend. Everytime I see such, the quote from Chuck Burrows jumps in my mind.

This is another fine example of this.

Quote:
The beautiful sheaths created for storing the knife elevate the knife one step higher. It celebrates the knife it houses.
By Chuck Burrows.

Cheers!
