This is my second knife

My twin brother and I have had the privilege, on two occasions, to visit the shop of Barry & Phillip Jones. While there I made my second knife and my brother made his first. The specs on mine are:

1/8" 1084 steel
Stabilized desert ironwood scales
Red spacer material
Mosaic pin
S.S. lanyard tube
Overall length-5", Blade length-2.5"
Pattern is courtesy of Travis Daniel

Last August I took the knifemaking course that Travis taught. It was a great class and Barry & Phillip have definitely added it by allowing me, and my twin, to hang out with them.

I can't say THANK YOU enough to Barry, Phillip and Travis for their advice and encouragement. Y'all are great!

It was great having Mark and Merle in our shop. It was very tiring since we crammed a lot of knifemaking into just a couple of days but I really enjoyed sharing my knowledge (what little I have) and experience with them.

Apparently Mark and Merle learned something during their time here which is excellent. They made our (mine and Phillip's) 1st and 2nd knives look even more awful with their efforts. They both did a fantastic job. I think they are really hooked on making knives now so watch out.

Here's a good shot of Mark's knife.

John-You got that right. Barry and his twin brother Phillip are excellent knifemakers and were more than willing to share tips/techniques/etc with me and my twin brother.
