Yesterdays meeting
Good morning to all!....I hope everyone got home safely and with time to spare. At every meeting I have had the opportunity to attend, I come away with a complete feeling, as Randy said in the meeting yesterday A.M., of being a part of the finest group of people I have ever known. When Randy made that comment to all of us, and said that is why he decided to stay as secretary for another year, I almost gave him a loud "AMEN". Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of the Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild. Harry and Charlie did it again....a great meeting!
I am sure everyone is pleased that Don Tommey has agreed to be a part of the "team"...he will do a great job. I hope I get to see you all again soon.....james |

I am glad that Craig, Randy and Don stepped up to the plate. We have a great slate of officers going into this new year and our organization just continues to grow and get better!
For Twin Blades, I want to thank everybody that came to the meeting. Charlie and I both had a lot of fun hosting it. I know I didn't get to speak with everyone and couldn't get to all the demonstrations because of hosting duties, but it was a great day for us. Lots of questions, conversations about knives and just talking with new and old friends. Just doesn't get much better! Sorry that some members couldn't make it. We hope that everyone will be able to be here next time. We had about 70 people that did make the meeting on Saturday and about 35 that made the social on Friday night. Both are records for the Twin Blades meeting! Thanks again for all those that came, helped out when needed and made this meeting enjoyable! |

Guess I'm going to have to start walking to the meetings......too much good food makes it hard to stay alert on the drive home.
Had a great time as always Harry and Charlie. I think the time I get just kicking the dog with you two makes the drive worthwhile. A wonderful way to liven up the "dead spot" of winter. *LB - not sure the Watkinsville Chamber of Commerce would consider that bus of reprobates you brought with you highend reps...........of course they'll fit right in at TR. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |
