Is there anyone out there who has got tutorials for a beginner and anyone who knows the best mags to buy in South Africa?

You'll find many tutorials here on the Custom Knife Directory. There are many very fine makers in South Africa- contacting any of them should give you some direction on locally available publications.

Try calling Gavin Dickerson at 965-0988. He's at P.O. Box 7672, Petit 1512 RSA. If you have trouble, let me know and I'll get you another name or two. Just met Gavin at the Blade Show in Atlanta last month- nice gentleman.
