Got me an oven!!!!!
Hi all, After months of searching I have managed to find myself a great little oven today, goes up to 1150 oC or 2102 oF with a PID digital control and I only paid ?70.00 or $100.00 ! Heating chamber is 8" x8" x 4" What a bargain :-). Can anyone point me to a web site with heat treating instructions for RWL-34 and ATS-34. Andy.. |

Andy, RWL-34 is the European powdered equivalent of ATS-34, so I am going out on a limb here and guessing that heat treat would be the same. www.cancom.net/~hnilica/metals.html |

Thanks for the HT info Mike. everyone says ATS-34 is the same as RWL-34 but I have just found an information sheet direct from Damasteel and the instructions they give are, soak at 1050 oC for 10 mins and then temper at 200oC for 2 Hrs I think I might email Damasteel to make sure the information is correct and has not got mixed up in the translation. The oven sure was a good find if there had been more I would have bought them up at this price!!. Alan, don't know about coming up smelling of roses, My usuall saying is ' If I did'nt have bad luck I'd have know luck at all'. I'm touching wood and crossing everything in the hope that I don't fry the element first time out !!!! |
