new sheath pic
Here's a pic of my first knife and sheath. I just finished the sheath tonight thanks to the kind help of some of the members here. The beeswax and neatsfoot oil dip worked great. The design for the sheath was a composite from David Boye's book and some trial and error. I made an integral belt loop for simplicity sake. www.imagestation.com/albu...4292002573 -Dave |

another new sheath!
I just sewed this one up and hot dipped it this evening. I like the resulting leather color. ...and a rear view... |

Re: another new sheath!
Don, is that sheath lined with pigskin or some other leather? I like the look of the inside. -Dave |

Re: another new sheath!
Yup- the inside is lined with goatskin. That means that the sheath did not get a full dip, but rather the tip end was dunked and I used a 1" paint brush to cover the rest of the outside. |

Hi Don, Where did you get the clip used on your sheath? Thats a quality looking item. Tim |

Re: another new sheath!
I buy the clips from William Henry Knives, and they have set me up as their distributor for anyone else who wants them. Email me privately if you are interested. |
