William Scagel
I just learned that William Scagel was also a boatbuilder. I too have built a boat, so naturally, I am interested.
Anyone seen pictures of one of his boats? __________________ Andy Garrett https://www.facebook.com/GarrettKnives?ref=hl Charter Member - Kansas Custom Knifemaker's Association www.kansasknives.org "Drawing your knife from its sheath and using it in the presence of others should be an event complete with oos, ahhs, and questions." |

I read that Bo Randall first met Scagel on the shore of Lk Michigan. Scagel was scraping the wood on one of his boats, using one of his knives, and Randall saw and liked the knife, and they became close friends. Scagel taught Randall to forge and make knives. I knew Bo Randall a little, and he purchased one of my Bowie knives, but we never discussed Scagel. Contact Gary Randall, it is possible that he may have a photo.
