lucky find
I found a big section of chain at the antique store. Not too much money so I bought it. Tested some out today. Didn't spark like mild or high carbon. Kind of a downward looping spark, not very many. Etched briefly with Ferric and has a nice little pattern to. Does not have the slag, as bill cottrell, called it. Now I just have to figure out how to incorporate it into my guards etc. Dan.
PS- the links are about 8-9 inches long and about 5 inches wide. about 1.25 inches at thickest on some of the links. __________________ Life is hard, but God is good!
