5" Linder Bladed Boot Knife

This is my third knife I've built after a long hiatus. The blade is a 5" Linder boot knife blank. It's got a 416 stainless alloy guard, maple grip and 6061 T6 alloy aluminum pommel.

Boot Knife Alloy

It's a 440 stainless alloy. I have a real Linder boot knife with the same blade and it says on the blade: 440 Stainless Inox ROSTFREI. I assume it's 440C but that might not be true.

With every custom knife I build I try to accomplish three things. I want that knife to look so good you just have to pick it up, feel so good in your hand you can't wait to try it, and once you use it, you never want to put it down !
If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner!

6" Bowie

This Bowie was made from a Pakistani blank I purchased off of eBay. The handle is walnut dymondwood. The black spacer is Onyx Collection Volcano. It was my second attempt at a slabbed grip knife.

6" Linder Boot Knife

This one was made with a 6" Linder boot knife blank. I used the stacked leather washer technique and I was disappointed in how it came out. The guard was an off the shelf 416 stainless unit from Texas Knifemakers Supply. The pommel was turned from 6061 T6 aluminum alloy. I will probably stick to wooden handled blades in the future.

Latest Linder Dagger

Here's the latest project blade. It's another 6" Linder dagger with 440C blade. The guard was a Texas Knifemaker's piece. The grip is bloodwood Dymondwood laminate and the pommel is 304 stainless which I turned on my lathe.
