Information on Ron Little
Being new to this business of knives I thought I had better get the correct information from somebody who lives in his area. I have a Ron Little knife that has a small 2 and two larger 7's on one side of the blade bottom and "Little" on the other. It came with a listing of his that is not dated but has an address of 160 Marion Drive, Ringgold, Georgia 30736.
The knife is his model #4 midsize with stage handles. The knife is not in mint condition but if I were to use the Blue Book of Gun Values guide to assessing a guns condition I would say the knife is in about 95 % condition at best. Any help in finding a good resource for accurate information on his knives would be appreciated. I have heard he passed away back in the 70's and have not been able to find any information on him up here in Washington State. |

Not many Little's circulating around anymore. Ron was a super guy and true gentleman, I did some necropsys with him when he was a Grad. Student at UGA and have one of his very first knives, no markings at all. NO - Not for sale to anyone!! He gave it to me when he saw my old Case wasn't getting it done on a big ol' leatherback sea turtle we were dissassembling.
There is usually a fellow at the Blade Show that has a pretty nice collection of Ron's work and is very knowledgeable on the subject. Can't think of his name at the moment. If it comes to me, I'll pm you contact information. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |

I thank you for answering and will see what you come up with. In the mean time I am going to the Oregon Knife Show this weekend and hope to find a dealer there who may have some knowledge of Mr. Little. Thanks again and have a great day!!!!!

Check with Tom Gobel. He has more of the Little knives than anyone I know of. I don't have an address on him but believe he is in the Chattahoochee Knife club.

I thank you both for directing me to an individual who collects Mr. Little's knifes. This has saved me a lot of computer time. May you find a special little knife you have long waited for at a show soon!
