Becoming a member

Hey ya'll, I'm a georgia boy (if you can't tell), and I love knives (so apparently I'm in the right place). I've used knives all my life, even when i wasn't supposed to. I'm currently in the Marine Corps now, stationed out of Camp Lejeune, NC. I only have two years on my contract and I'm coming back to Georgia to live out the rest of my life. I am getting back into knife making, and I've only done two knives in my life (I worked with a guy up in NC). I just wanted to get my name out here, see what it would take to get a membership with the guild so that when I come back down to Ga, I can just slip right in. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome GB!
Came to the right place.
First off, thank you for your service to our country. We all appreciate your dedication and sacrifice for us.
Doesn't take anything special to become a member of the Guild. Just an interest in knives (got that covered). We have different levels of membership. Go check out the Guild web site for more information www.georgiaknifemakersguild.com
If you can't find it there send me a PM with your email and I'll find an electronic copy and fire it to you.
We'd love to have you come to one of our meetings and introduce yourself. We have them quarterly and the next one is right around the corner Feb. 6 & 7 in Statesboro if you can make it (see other thread below). Future meetings will be announced ahead of time.
I'm also conducting a Hammer-in in Blairsville the first weekend in April (also below), you are welcome and encouraged to attend. Many of the Guild members attend this event as well.
