Building a workshop

I just took a forging class. I am looking building a nice workshop to make knives. In the class I thought grinding was the hardest part for me. So is there any cheap grinder out there yall would recommend?

This is the forge I am looking at getting. Is it any good?

Cheap grinder: not really. There are lots of cheap grinders and guys will soon start telling you how they manage just fine with X or Y grinder. But to recommend? No, any cheap grinder will be a serious compromise. The cheapest 2x72 grinder you can get is the Grizzly at $600 ready to go. There are others that you can get that might cost about the same but give you a better grinder IF you can provide your own motor, otherwise they cost more.

That forge you linked? Not just no, but @#$%^&* no! Square interior, burners pointed straight down, disaster. Build your own, it's easy, and can be done for far less than the cost of that one. If you need it, I have a DVD that will show you all you need to know about building a forge. If you're going to make knives you can certainly make your own forge ....
