5th Knife

I made this one for my father-in-law for a Christmas gift. He loved it. It's not perfect but they are getting better the more I make.

You did a real nice job on the knife. about the only thing that I would have changed would be to have a little more guard just to prevent finger slippage acident. Do not take this the wrong way, because you really did a great job of the knife. Thanks for sharing.
Curtis

Wow! That's a great knife. Hard to believe it's only #5! As Andy pointed out it does have a kind Nessmuk feel to it. I like how you kept the pins small and far apart so the wood could do all of the talking. It looks like a nice polishing job on the blade too - not my personal preferance, but I can appreciate the work involved. Can't wait to see #6.

Thanks for all the comments and feedback. I really appreciate it! I have yet to make a knife for myself; I keep giving them away. I like this pattern enough that I think I'm going to keep one.

Curtis, I'm not too far from you. I live in Granbury. My in-laws are in Burleson and I'm in your neck of the woods every now and again. It's amazing how much that area has grown over the past few years.
