demo???
has anyone decided on demos for the next meeting? it would be nice for people considering memberships to be able to see what demos might be done ahead of time. i know ga members are on the forum but i haven't seen any commitments yet. just curious.

We're working on it Dean. Not everyone's as easy to convince as you were. You did a fine job by the way.

demos
John has been touching base with Carl since the last meeting and it looks like Carl is setting up a good slate of demos. Prelimary info is a handle demo by a "fresh young face" in knifemaking, a tapered tang demo, and ideas on passing our knowledge on to the next generation---which is exactly one of the items we decided we are to be about.
As soon as I get a map from Mr. Wayne, and a few more items I will be sending out the info via e-mail. If you are not on my e-mail list, or you know someone who wants to receive this info, send me your info at me mrsjoan, so I can include you. Also, if there is something you would like to see done at the meetings, contact Carl and let him know. And don't be shy about offering to show your way---everyone has a different style and John learns so much by seeing how other folks do things. All of us are here to learn from each other. Hope we see all of you August 28, in Conyers at the meeting!! |
