I meant that inertia sets in and people tend to do what they are comfortable with and may not try to learn anything new and full tangs are pretty much what everybody starts with. And with good reason as they probably are the simplest.
But "clearly superior structurally" ? I beg to differ. They are superior in only one regard (in my opinion) and that is that they are probably the most difficult to break the handle off of. Maybe. Other than that, they could be seen by some to have a fair sized list of less desirable attributes than some other style.
I guess the point I'm trying to make, if there is a point, is that when it comes to knife making you can't count on a consensus of opinion even on things that seem inarguable. I'm as guilty as anyone, and more than most, for saying things are best done this way or that way but, really, in knife making there don't seem to be any absolutes...

I know what you meant I was just teasing, but I agree 100% percent with you, and as we've proved post after post everyone has multiple opinions on the same subject, let alone different opinions than other makers. But I would be fine with whatever you decide, unless its a miniature KITH I saw that on another forum and while I get it, to me it just seems silly.

I agree about miniatures, not appropriate for our crowd. Miniatures take a special type of skill and at least a few specialized, often hand made, tools . I admire those who can do really nice miniature work but there is a big difference in the skill set needed for that and the skills most Newbies are trying to learn. At their best, miniatures are for advanced makers ...
