The first knife I've made

Hi folks,

I've been at this for 3 weeks and I'm simply loving it. I wanted to share pictures of my first knife. I still have to shape the handle and sharpen it this weekend. Please let me know what you think with honest feedback.

Sorry for my lack of follow through in posting! My 1 year old son was demanding attention at the time and I lost track!

Here is my completed first knife. Just finished it a couple days ago and already working on #2.

I would love to meet other knife makers in the area.

Thanks everyone! Already done with #2! I'll post up a picture of it soon. It's definitely better than #1 but that's the way it's supposed to be right?

Almost done with knife #2. A little handle refinement to do and sharpen.

AWESOME!

That really is spectacular for a first knife. VERY well done!

FYI, there are plenty of knifemakers within a short drive (under an hour) of your location.

You can also get to one of our guild meetings down in Troy at Montgomery Community College. We should have one coming up this month.
