I'll post finished pictures tomorrow. We built an angle iron frame around the oven. The door is attached to that frame. Also framed the door with angle iron aligned everything and welded on hinges. It works great heat-treated 5 knives today. 3 were 154 , takes about 2 hours to get to 1950F.

Thank-you. The Inside is Vermiculite and the outside insulation is Calcium Slicate.

Great guy use my name. The cost to build 2 ovens was $340.00 ( that's 8" X 8" x 24" inside area.
Here are some pics of the finished oven. It really wasn't hard. Stuff cuts with a skill saw and used a router to cut the grooves for the elements. He also has high temp adhesive to glue it together with.

where did you get the mechanical parts of the oven for instance
element
controls
that sort of stuff

The oven does look great, Andy.

You should present this in a demo at a guild meeting. It would surely be a big hit.
