basic knifemaking course this past week @ MCC

I would like to agree with NCBoy and say i had such a great time @ MCC with Mr. Travis and the Jones Brothers. Those 3 Gentlemen were a walking knife encyclopedia of knowledge. They were world class and great to talk to. I learned more in those 3 days than i could have learned in years. We had a great bunch of students and i learned i only lived 2.5 miles from one of the them (really nice guy). Jones Brothers cant wait to see y'all in Greenville in Jan. ( dont forget.. I will cook Deer Gumbo) and Mr. Travis your are a special and great soul. The knowledge that you possess is out right amazing. Ok guys got to run have to order a Bader B111. Trying to make the leather working course in Dec. God Bless y'all and yours

Ty

Glad you liked the class, Ty.

Like we mentioned in the class......We (Travis, Phillip, and myself) learned a lot of what we know from other makers, some alive and others since passed. There is no way we can ever pay those guys back for what they passed on to us. The only thing we can do is pay it forward to those just starting out. It promotes knifemaking and keeps the art/craft alive.

See you in a couple weeks for the sheathmaking class and we'll definitely see you in January.
