Help identifying this set (maybe 1950 india)

Hi,
I recently purchased this very particular fork and knife set in my local secondhand store (Belgium).
I want to give it as a present to someone and would like to tell where this comes from or what it was used for. Can somebody help me out?

A brief search on the internet learned me that this Is a knife and fork set that is used for craving meat that orginates from India probably 1950-1960. (it also says it on the metal pieces itself.) Does it come from a specific area? Is there a meaning behind it?
If somebody can tell me more, love to hear it!
Thanks!

Welcome!

Wish I could offer some additional info for you. Hopefully some members here may be able to assist you. The shop that you bought it from perhaps they may have some background.
