Rocky Mtn Hamon, etc,...

Hi gang!

Got a couple done after getting back from our latest trip to North Idaho. Bruce and Kaye Bump came up for a couple of days and we got about half the wiring done in the shop. Thanks Bruce.
Got a chance to visit our buddy Ed and his lovely wife, Cindy too, for a couple of days. Gosh, I don't recall when we last ate like that! Thanks Ed and Cindy!

I fiddled around with some clay hardening on the upper W-2 blade and it came out looking like the rocky mountains, so that's what I'm calling it. I tried to match the pattern in the handle too, but it came out less spectacular than expected. At least you can see the one lighter line in the handle that sort of follows the hamon. Anyway, I was happy with the hamon. The other bowie was one I have had laying around half finished and finally got it done. I capped the handle with some of that old Westinghouse ivory micarta. I like that stuff..wish it wasn't so expensive and hard to find.

Take care buds,
Dana

Nice knives Dana, and congrats, sounds like the pieces of the big move up north are coming together.

Take care, Craig

Thanks Craig. It is slooooowly getting there. We wish we were already moved out of this state but we are glad that we have some structures going up.

Dana, That's the same size as my shop. I had to rearrange everything when I brought Steve's power hammer home this spring. Now I need a bigger shop. some day maybe

Cool, Bing! My next big expenditure is going to be for a nice big press. The power hammer is a future dream.
