observation about rivet press

Just in case anyone else from this forum gets one..

here is an observation which may save you a few rivits..
(I'm not sure if this is just common sense, from a more "tool and die" perspective.. but )


when you are putting the rivet in the press.. put the open end toward the "sharp" die.. if you use the "hole" end. the edge of the rivet, gets caught (some of the time) and ends up "crimping" the rivet..

Practice makes perfect I guess..
