First knife made since November
Whats up everyone,
Let me start off by saying that I hate it that I couldn't make it to the guild meeting last week. I did everything I could to try and get off work but I just couldn't. I am going to make it to the next one though. I already put in for time off. Back to the point. This has been a super busy year so far with work, my wife's business, and Dad responsibilities, so I haven't been able to do much in the shop. I did however buy a KMG grinder, so thats a plus. Well, here is my first knife of the year, and the first one I've made since I did those pukkos last November. It is also my first wharncliff style knife, and the first knife I've put a real makers mark on. It's a lot of firsts... Here are the specs: OAL is 8 1/4" Blade length is 3 3/4" I forged the blade from a piece of 1084 I got from the INTH at the spring guild meeting scales are black and natural canvas micarta, as are the pins. What do you think? -Adam Last edited by Adam Reese; 08-12-2012 at 04:07 PM. Reason: adding images |

Very nice Adam. I like it. I had to work also and didn't get to go. Was really looking forward to it. I hope I can make the next one.

Adam, I like everything about that knife. It's well thought out, good construction, and smooth over all. Job well done!! Hope you get to Track Rock end of Sept.

Thanks guys,
It's nice to get good feedback like that on something I've made. It is what keeps me making and striving to do better. I am going to try to get to track rock this year, and bring my forge an anvil this time. I hope to see ya'll there. -Adam |

I love the knife Adam. I missed the meeting too. Come to the shop, and I'll show you all the tricks I know on that KMG, and on making that etch POP.
Anytime. |

Andy its funny you should say that,
Just yesterday my wife said I should make a day trip to your shop so you could show me some things. If you are there during the weekdays, I think I can make it up one day next week. I go back to work this Friday night until Monday night, then I'm off Tues, Weds, Thurs. Let me know if any of these would work for you. -Adam |

Any weekday is fine with me Adam. Thursday would be the best day though.
