Christmas Present for a newb
OK here is the deal.
I have a small shop in Waller, TX. just ouside of Houston. I have a Sear's 2X42" grinder on a H/F Stand and about 30-40 belts of different grits. I don't have the room for them anymore since i got my kmg and it just collecting dust. First one to come pick it up ,it's yours but please all I ask is that you are a newbe and dont have a grinder. That is real nice but I too am hundreds of miles away, Dallas co. The internet is an amazing way to communicate with others worldwide. And that reminds me... {Ohhh, here he goes again} I think it was this forum, back several years ago, before old Ray took himself a fine new wife. {Hi Ray} Someone was wanting a display box to show knives at the local gun show, which was at the time about a week off. I offered my best advice: "Man, get you a 'display stump'. Just go out and cut you a stump, 3"-4"-5" tall in the front. Flat on the bottom and angled upwards to the top, so that it shows the wood grain better. Stick all your knives in the stump and hell, its free"! The guy answered that: " It was a good idea". And "just leave it to a Texan to come up with a solution to a problem". "So simple, yet brilliantly effective and 'absolutely free'". "A better means of displaying knives in a more natural setting", {"ie. Stuck in a stump"}. "And to hell, with spending a hundred dollars on a display case"! "Not to mention driving 3-4 hours to go and buy it"! He said: "Hell! I'll just go out tomorrow and cut me a stump"! I told that story many times and it was years before someone told me "Jack, where was the guy"? And I said, oh, southern California I think. Dude, I may be passing right close to you on the 17, may swing by and see if I can pick it up. I have been looking for a good grinder but they were all to expensive, you seem to have the right price for my budget!!!
Just hope someone else doesnt get to it before me!

That is a very handy little grinder and even though I have a 2x72 I still use it alot and would never part with it. I also like that I can pop over to my local Sears store and buy belts for it and not have to order and wait for them. The rest table is bigger and has more angle adjustment then the 2x72 does.
