Thank You All

I wanted to thank all of you for your welcome at my first Guild meeting Saturday. I only knew a few of you prior to the meeting, but I never felt like an outsider at all during the entire event. I consider my work fledgling, and wanted to express how much I appreciate all the conversation, criticism, and direction I recieved during the weekend as well.

Charlie and Harry, you guys have a great place there, thanks for sharing your shop, food, time, and advice!

Ditto to what Joe said! Good thing to have you at the meeting. You'll find this is the norm, not the exception, at all the meetings. If you can, I'd suggest the trip to Track Rock in late March. Come early and get a chance to hit hot steel. Most of the same folks will be there and it's another chance for working and talking knives.
Rick

Out of everyone that i have met up with at any of the Ga guild meetings , I have never met anyone that was " stuck on themselves" , or felt there knives were better than anyone else. Everyone has been humble , and eager to learn something new. Thats why everyone enjoys the meetings so much .

Andy
Tried to tell you that back at the Blade Show, but you're a typical knifemaker.....gotta experience it for yourself. Don't be a stranger, as my buddy RLo said - Trackrock is more of the same and a much shorter drive.

Scott's right, not a bad bunch to hang with if you want to learn something or just talk knives.

I'll try to make Track Rock. It conflicts with a weekend that I'd get to meet a lot of potential customers. Thats a concern for me.

Its an event. My wife says your dates are better either way, so please expect me at Trackrock. Is this a camping event?

In and of itself, it is not a camping event, but held at a privately owned campground. Many of the attendees camp or cabin for the weekend. This is one of the nicest fullservice campgrounds to be found in North Ga. Go to their website www.trackrock.com for more details on the facilities.
If you plan to eat the hot lunch BBQ on Saturday, I need a head count now. Otherwise you are responsible for your meals, etc. Very limited vending on site and town is about 7 miles away.
