airon, I sent you a pvt message with directions to our shop. I hope you will try to make it down. The Georgia Guild always has a good time every time we meet. Mostly it is the company we keep I think. Not a bad apple in the bunch.

The Georgia Guild has been having the winter meeting in Statesboro because of the possible bad weather that sometimes shows up in the northern part of the state. We don't get snow but every few years down here, but we do get mud. If it keeps on raining like it has the last week or so the shop is going to float off. I saw twenty five or thirty wild turkeys at the shop this morning and I swear it looked like they were wearing swim fins and mask. Any of you guys in north GA got an ark left over from last September?

If anyone needs driving directions to the Twin Blades shop just let me know and I will send you a copy.

Just give us the channel marker numbers and what stump to watch for. I'd offer my ark but it's icebound in northern Missouri (or Misery as my grandson says).
Got a great visual on the turkeys.
Hey maybe the high water will slow down the four legged miners around your shop. Ought to bring them up surface for easy dealings (errhhuhh....boys, might want to pick through your BBQ carefully for suspicious small bones!)

Charlie, Harry, and Everyone:

I'm planning on being at the meeting, and I think several other members of the Columbus Cutthroats are, too. So throw some extra beans in the pot for me. BTW, Charlie and Harry, THANKS for hosting the meeting again. And, Mr. Jim Small, that knife of yours is VERY nice, and should bring in extra dollars for the John Poythress Scholarship Fund. I know I'm buying more than one ticket.

See ya'll there! Dave Roberts - Columbus, Georgia

Kevin Hoffman a director of The Knifemaker's Guild has agreed to do a demonstration on what to look for when submitting your knives for membership in the Knifemakers Guild. If you are interested in a Knifemakers Guild membership, bring four knives with you and we will try to have an application and enough Guild members to take a look at them.

With Kevin's demonstration on what judges look for in a knife, Carl's information on selecting an anvil and a flint knapper demonstrating that art it promises to be an interesting day at the Winter Georgia Guild meeting.

Please let us know if you are planning on attending, but if you decide that you can come at the last minute, please do. We will be glad to have you. We will have a social Friday night at the shop and everybody is welcome. BYOB if you want it. Hope to see everyone at the meeting on February 27th.

Everything looks good for me to make the meeting and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone.

Dean, I have been wondering if you had moved out of state or something.

Harry said we don't get snow. He was wrong. We got 2.5 inches. Thank goodness for global warming, it could have been bad.

Looks like a polar ice cap shift to me. Going to throw the whole axis spin off. Looks like Joshua will get a chance to use his new .375 Win Mag on polar bears. Guess I'll keep that .58 ready for action.
Gotta love big bore firearms.

Well, it looks like all fires will be adequately extinguished and I will get to be at the meeting. I am going to try to get there Friday afternoon.

Really looking forward to it,
Carey
