Bill, we have a mutual "friend" that truly enjoys ribbing you. I plan on seeing all this good natured harassment in person at the hammer-in. Merle

I know a guy from the area that while not very purty, he does have some purty hair!

Hey Mike, is that a hint that His Highness, Sir Larry, is laying in the shadows and making trouble?

Gentlemen ( and knife makers ),

I am making plans to be at Bowie's but need info on local motel rooms. Brining the wife and she don't do camping. This thing better be all that it's hyped-up to be. This is a first for me.

Hello J Scott,
Bowie's place is just off I-40 on 640. There are several Motels close by. Bowie's computer is down right now, or I am sure he could offer more info. We will have a little bit of everything going on. We are going to make a knife from start to finish, covering forging, grinding, heat treating and blade finishing. We will have a damacus demo as well. I believe Ethan Becker will be doing his kitchen knife demo also. Also on the schedule is a iron in the hat as well as a cutting competition that is open to all. There will be a couple Master Smiths and several Journeyman smiths there as well. If you have any thing you would like help with or would like to see, someone will be there to help. Everyone seems to have a great time, I know I do!! Looking foward to seeing you there.

it was like the who's who in the knife world, go early and stay late everyday and absorb
as much as you can take in-- you want regret it. the claibornes are awesome people. and take extra money for supplies and iron in the hat. bb

Bill
That is strictly a guess !!! But I would figgure if it was possible to stir the pot, His Highness "Sir Larry" would surely have his hand on the stir stick!!

P.S.
I heard an ugly rumor the other day that "Sir Larry" has been down on the coast doing a swimwear shoot for AARP

God Bless and Happy Hammering

Mike

Darn Magazine! Of all the times for a bathing suit shoot, they pick the time when I've put on a few pounds. Next time Bowie or Mike is going to have to go, that's all I'm gonna say. Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag Mike. Hows the charm school lessons going?

Bill, I think you'd be real close to the culprit if you just go ahead and blame Bowie for any leaks lately. I didn't even know about the purty man contest!

Do I need to bottle any stain for Ya'll? Is anyone using it?

I for one would pay NOT to see Mike or Bowie in a speedo! Not really sure I want to see YOU in one either, for that matter...

I've used a bit of your stain, but I have to say it doesn't taste near as good as my leather dye...
