Knife Repair Assistance
Hey guys,
I need some leads. A gentleman has contacted me to see about getting his custom automatic (switch blade) folder repaired. The knife has no maker's mark but was made here in the Atlanta area about 15-20 years ago (maker is deceased). Did not have his name available. The safety lock mechanism is not working. He would like to get it repaired locally (here in GA). Working on getting some pictures made he can email out to anyone interested in having a look at it. You can PM or email me if you are interested or know someone that might be willing to work on this man's knife. I will pass the info along to him. Told him the best I could do would be to forge weld the blade open and make him a different sheath. He passed on that idea for some reason. __________________ Carl Rechsteiner, Bladesmith Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild, Charter Member Knifemakers Guild, voting member Registered Master Artist - GA Council for the Arts C Rex Custom Knives Blade Show Table 6-H |
