"Not Forged" Hunter
Most knives this shape are forged blades, because the stick tang lends itself to forging. I haven't fired up the forge in nearly two years, but I still like to make a stick tang hunter once in a while. This blade is 3/16 1080 carbon steel at 60 RC, shaped by stock removal. The guard is brass (nice fit!) and the contoured handle is some good striped cocololo. I don't use brass much anymore, preferring 416, but it was the customer's request.

Beautiful knife. Brass looks sharp with the cocobolo .

Looks great, I agree that brass pops with the wood and looks awesome!
What do you use for your mark on the blade is that stamped or etched? |

Etched the mark. Stencil was from TUS Tech, etcher is an old Marking Methods machine.
