where to find 1/16 thick 1075 or 1080/4

I would like to make a very thin wood carving knife and am looking for 1/16 thick 1075/1080/1084 but can not find it. Does any know where I can purchase 1/16 10x steel?

I don't recall ever seeing those steels offered in that size. You could use 15N20 or L6 instead. They heat treat the same way and are commonly found in 1/16" thickness. Look up Kelly Cupples in the 1084 Sticky thread at the top of the forum ....

I am new to knife making and heat treating. I found o1 in1/16. Work that be ok to work with?

Its OK to work with but it is usually more expensive than the other steels. Also, to get your money's worth out of O1 it really needs to be heat treated in a temperature controlled oven. You can heat treat with a forge or torch but you won't get the best results that O1 can achieve that way ...
