The final fit and finish on a knife is to me, the most difficult to achieve....attention to detail is so important and you obviously have more patience and skill than I do.This knife is a work of art (as was your last knife) and I look forward to seeing your work off the grinder.

Kevin.

Beautiful work as usual, Dennis. That wood is something else. I'm a sucker for filework just like you, and you did a great job.

While at Ron Nott's today, we figured out how to post his photos...

I've always had trouble I thought because of my computer, so I'm gonna try it for myself:

This is just a test:

I'm typing this while in edit. Sitting two spaces above this text is the url for "Desert Flame" knife. It has the IMG code in front and at the rear as was placed there by the IMG "button" just above this message box. Now, I'm going to close this window and when I do, the url will disappear as if it was never there...I GIVE UP!

Dennis

OH YEAH...Baby!

Edit (again) When I try to edit, the URL comes right back into view (I'm staring at it right now...it's 2 spaces below "This is just a test" and yet I know when i save, it'll disappear again from view?!?!?

One day real soon I'm going to lose it altogether and I'm going to take this computer out back and shoot it, thereby putting me out of my misery (there was a time when I had a reasonable amount of control over it...but now it has a mind of its own...perhaps if I held a knife to its throat )

mmmmmmmm.... yummy!

Hi Dennis.

This is my first time at the forum in quite a while, and the first post I looked at. Nice to "see" you again!

The knife and file work are nicely done... I got that deep-gut "I WANT IT!" feeling. That is the highest praise

And then I looked at the blocks of wood behind it and had that feeling all over again!

Great job.

Robert

Hey Robert-

It has been a long time! Really good to hear from you. Am I remembering this wrong?...weren't you supposed to be moving away?

Thanks for the nice words...I've come a long way since we last spoke. You ought to see my shop now! (I probably only had my Dremel "way" back then).

Are you still exploring the convergence of sculpting, metal, and knives?

We never did get to meet over that cup of coffee...why don't you shoot me an e-mail. We have a new system here now that makes that easy: just go up top to "members", look for Osprey Guy and you'll see how to e-mail me or send "private message." Look forward to hearing from you.

Dennis

Yeah Baby!

Edit: PS. Silly me! You can see my shop...I have pics over in "Newbies"...just look for my posts.
