Identify Old Knife

A friend in South Texas recently found a knive we are trying to identify. The knife is one solid piece and made of what appears to be bronze, or possibly some metal mix. It is a total of 12" with the blade around 7" and 1 3/8" width. The handle is idented with the raised letters " It's a king" on one side and " Houston, Texas" on the other. We believe it is at least 40 years old. I cannot find a King Knife in Houston. I would appreciate any information anyone could provide re this knife. Thanks
