Tape to make belts?
Can anyone tell me where I can get the type of tape used on the butt joint of belts. I use sanding sticks to finish my blades and they take a 1/2 inch by 16.5 inch belt not available commercially in the higher grit range. I've been using masking tape with mixed success. These of course are not motor driven. I can post a picture for anyone who is unfamiliar with them. Thanks.

Hello Fred,
When in need of this type of backing tape, I ask my local 3M abrasive rep. They are a good source of knowledge for most of your abrasive questions. Finding them in the phone book should be little trouble. Jeff |
