Nothing Fancy

This is a recent batch of smalls (Mini Rhino design) that will find their way into stockings this year.

You'll see some Dymondwood (still love it--don't care what the haters say). I discovered with the rosewood and black ink stuff that you can get a cool finish if you grind it to just the right depth into the ink.

You'll also see some Corian. I just had some laying around in the 'When am I ever gonna use this stuff' box.

You'll see a handle of imitation tortoise shell which I considered putting white paper behind but instead opted to deeply scuff up the back side to hide the steel under the highly transparent handle. What I did not consider is that the epoxy has the same exact optical quality of the material. Thus, it looks like I did nothing and you can see the guts under the handle plain as day.

There is some Box Elder burl, etched blades, mirror polishes and most notably, a blasted and shaken finish that I really like (on the Corian knife).

Pictures are non-showcase to be sure, but enjoy.

Very nice! I agree. I also love dymondwood. In my opinion it is one of the best materials for a knife that will be used hard and a lot.
