Ceramic detent balls
I'm trying to find a source for ceramic detent balls for my folders. Anyone out there currently using them? I'd appreciate it if anyone can let me have a contact number if you have it. |

Hi Johny, Check out salem balls at www.salemball.com/index.htm They have 'em, but extremly expensive. I did some research on it more then a year ago. Found that with using ceramic, that the blade might get a track really quickly and wear prematurley. In general 440 C balls are anywere from 57 - 61 RC, while ceramics are around 67 - 71 RC. I buy my 440 C's there, great price, great service. Hope this helps. Thomas |
