Talking My DDR3-BL,

Hello,

I have had this finnished for quite a while, I just haven't been able to get good pics of it. (they still aren't great )

The wood is called pomele supelle( my spelling is off on that)
its extremely hard to get and even more extreme on price, but the figure is well worth it, it has a great 3D "curly maple on steroids" look.

this knife is definately a great EDC, especialy when you need somthing to open fast with one hand. CLICK! (thanks to that MAXX spring ) makes a great steak knife too

Because of the expense of the wood, I'm going to do another in a simpler material, for carry and keep this one as a display/home knife. Of course I'm also planning one with a damascus blade too.

Thanks again for a great design Darrel! And a fantastic kit!

Later,
Gary

Wow! I love highly figured woods...and I gotta say, that's about as good as I've seen.

Very cool!

Those stripes look like they're carved into the handles. Awesome figuring. You said the wood is hard to get? Where does it come from or where did you order it from?

Great job!

Well the spelling is "pomele sapele" and check ebay, there's 7 auctions going right now with hardly any bids at all.
