couple of new pieces.

Hey everyone, first off let me apologize for not making it to the Feb meeting but as with all good plans they never seem to work out right.

Anyways I thought I might show a piece or two that I've done recently and see what ya'll think. I take horrible pics so take it easy on me

The damascus blade is 1080/15n20 random pattern with stacked leather handle. The second one is my cutting comp knife for this year. Third is a O1 and cocobola hunter and the last one is small slipjoint with homemade jigged and dyed bone scales. The last two I did sometime late last year so there not that new.

Any and all comments and critiques are more than welcome

You can certainly pat yourself on your back for those fine pieces of worksmanship on both steel and leather. Hope to meet you at one of our meetings or at trackrock!

They all look fine to me. I particularly like the little slip joint.

Glad ya'll like em and thank you Sandy for the compliment on the leather work. It's not a strong point of mine but I'm working on it.

That litte slipjoint was one I made from a modified scagel pattern. I put that one in the iron in the hat at a hammer-in and Mr. Batson won it. thought it was rather fitting seeing as how he's the one who gave me the scagel pattern book to start with.
