Question id help, please.

Hi all,

This knife is nothing fancy, but was something I inherited. Now, I'm curious about it.

It is probably from the 50-60's. There is no name or identifying markings on the blade. The hilt has two small holes on the top as well.

The sheath also has a crude sharpening stone included.

Yeah, you can tell by that pic that it still gets some use.

Any ideas?

Looks like it is a "Camillus" ! look at the "Nut type Pommel" some where on it (the sides Not the top) it should be stamped .

Camillus, Ontario, K-bar and Wilkinson all made them and all had that nut pommel. If it's a Camillus it will say it on that nut with a date run(1970, 1976, 19.......). If it's an Ontario or K-bar it will say it on the blade. If it's a Wilkinson it won't say anything and I'll buy it.

Those were still being issued the Navy pilots in the late 70's. Stop using it and put it into your collection! I used mine for a fishing knife and I wish I hadn?t!
