Help identifying old knife in silver and stylized carvings.

Hello everyone.

I'd like your wisdom to identify this knife. My grandfather gave it to me as a present. He doesn't know what it is. He bought it really cheap when he was in Iraq as a diplomat and he started some kind of collection. But he already got rid of it.

Thanks in advance, and I'm looking forward to know the history behind it.

The style of knife is called a jambiya, common throughout the middle east and India, each area having its own variant. Looks to be of recent manufacture...
