Sandy

Yeah, Dad's still around and kicking. He made an appearance at Trackrock for the Hammer-in, but better yet I got to take my favorite apprentice to his place for a little one on one for a couple of hours. Young man's not going to forget or regret this visit, ever.

Dad was the usual great host he always has been and still sharpest knife in the drawer. Yes we talked about all you other "leather" guys so just put ice on your ears (it's not a stroke or anurisim coming on). Hey, he was kind to all of you (me not so much cause I was sitting there).

He hopes all are doing well - just not going to get on the 'putor much anymore. Said time was short and still too many babes still left to meet.......you know Dad.

T. Wolfe (if you're still lurking) he said he'd love to get another cd from you. Still has all the ones you've sent and they looked well visited. His address hasn't changed and is still at the bottom of his bi-line here on KNF.

Great visit as always. Just wanted to let you all know how he's doing.

You know, I was kinda having an otherwise crappy day until I saw this post. Old Dad is special to a lot of us. He showed me a few tricks that I might have never figured out in decades. It makes my heart happy to hear he's still out there stirring things up! Thanks for the post, Carl!

Right there with you on how much Dad has contributed to all of us. I'd still be in "fido's butt" stage with my sheaths if it weren't for him. Plus all the fine leather craftsmen he introduced me to here and elsewhere.
I just wish he'd slow down a bit so I could catch him at home more often.
