Looking for info on this knife.

I've always had this knife since I was a little boy, I think it was my late grandpa's knife and my grandma gave it to me. Just looking for more information on it. On one side of the blade it's etched "John B. Rand & Co. Solingen Germany" on the other side it's etched "73-6." It has a snake etched into the dagger and the handle is made of steel and hard black plastic. I've looked a while online for this exact knife without any luck on finding it. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Kevin
