help!?!

Hi folks,been a customer of Classic Kits for some time now,and just got the Typhoon folder kit I'm doing up for a friend/customer...
I've never worked with G-10 before (preferring burls,exotics,naturals);
He wants some kind of cool 'tactical' look to the inlay scales (I got him the milled-handle kit,with 2 inlays per handle segment).
I have a good selection of Italian and Swiss jeweler's files,and recently,a Dremel with diamond points (many shapes and sizes)...
I've been practicing with a small chunk of the black/green G-10,and am wondering;
he wants to keep the glossy black finish on the flats,and have the black/green really "pop"
in the lows spots.
How do I bring out the color in the filed areas so that it really "pops" (as he puts it)?
Thanks all!
Wolf.
