Smile My latest folder

I just finished this slipjoint for my wonderful wife's 79th. birthday this month.

The blade is made of 3/32" thick CPM 154CM. 3 1/2" long.

Handle is 4 1/8" long.

Liners, bolsters and pins are 416 stainless steel.

The scales are made from a stabilized block of wood I found by accident in a drawer. Maybe amboyna burl? Frank, did you send that to me?

very nice Don. its amazing what you can find in your drawers if you just look. I'm always thinking "now where did that come from?"

love the traditional look of your folder.

If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner!

Wow, what a knife, Sir! I really like the way the lines flow. The angle of the rear bolster gives it a feel....just by looking at it. Beautiful work.

I don't think so. Some kind of stabilized burl.
