Lightbulb Build Your Own Forge Blower

When we first consider the idea of building a forced air burner the thing that stops most of us is a) the cost of a professional blower or b) the indecision that comes from wondering if mom's hair blower can do the job.

Quit worrying and build your own! Here's how:

That is awesome. Yes the blower has been a hic-up in the plan. I breifly thought about something like that, but fabbing the enclosure had me stuck. Besides the fact I dismissed it as it couldn't be that simple or there would be plans and how to's everywhere.
I can't begin to thank you enough.

It really is that simple and it really works! In fact, I don't think I have ever seen a shop vac or dust collector or hand dryer or heating system or anything this size move as much air with as much force as this cheap hunk of plastic! And, it only took an hour or two to build it once you have the parts collected....

Thats pretty slick Ray! I've been contemplating upgrading my mini blown forge I built from your plans to a full size. The blower is obviously a major consideration (and expense). This looks like a great solution and you can find those hamster cage wheels all over down here from old apartment a/c units. Thanks for posting!!
