Big knife made by two Pennsylvania Boys
HI All,
About 6 months back Bruce of Birdog forge and Myself decided to compile and do a knife together just for the fun of it. Below is the pics of what we came up with. The blade started out in the fires of Birddogs forge as he shaped some steel into a nice 7inch long blade. Before long it arrived at my place where the bevels where ground to there final place and a stainless steel guard with black spacers was added and then tiger maple handle. After some shaping and polishing back it went to Bruce where he dyed the handle a magnificent brown color. Then to set it apart a bit Bruce added in a pennsylvannia quarter inset in the butt of the handle. To signafy that us two pennsylvannia boys worked on it. Of course no knife is complete without a sheath and Bruce made up a dandy. Monday it arrived back at my place where I added on the leather strap and put on the final edge. Which I must say happily shaves hair off of both my arms(dont try that at home kids!!) I also took the pictures and plan to take a few more and try to get some good ones. The knife ended up at 12 3/4 inches overall length and the sharp part of the blade is at 7inchs. As always all comments welcomed. Enjoy Ross |

Very nice, Ross! Just one question if I may. Where is the belt loop attached to the frog? ---Sandy---

It's around the back, Sandy. I had to keep it low profile in order to accomadate the large guard.
Thanks for looking. bruce __________________ If it isn't sharp it's only a screwdriver. ------------- Birdog Forge,com |
